The 2021 competition is reduced in length and includes virtual events - for virtuals, the following rules apply:
1) Elapsed time only, please set your Strava run to “Race” or show other evidence of your run
2) Only submit one run time to the organiser of the event, this will be taken as your official time.
3) Make sure you adhere to all current Covid regulations, follow all run instructions and use common sense when running
You will have one calendar month to run each event, starting on the 1st and concluding on the last day of the month when you must submit your time by 7pm. Finally and probably most importantly you need to make sure your membership is renewed in order to record a time for the club championships.

The Lytchett Manor Striders club championship is a contest between members of LMS over a set of races during the year.

All fully paid-up members qualify and points are awarded for competing in the selected races and finishing ahead of other Striders. Prizes are awarded to the first three male/female runners and then for various age categories in 5-year bands. The are lots of trophies up for grabs, which are presented at the annual Awards Dinner and Dance.

In 2021 there will be a reduced competition, with 5 races to count, including any marathon (virtual or organised) The competition usually consists of 14 races throughout the year with your best 7 results to count, with the option of any full marathon counting towards the 7.

The scoring system works as follows:

1st male and female ... 50 points
2nd male and female ... 49 points
3rd male and female ... 48 points etc.
