Founded in 1989, Lytchett Manor Striders is a small running club catering for all abilities. We are based in the village of Lytchett Minster, a few miles west of the English south coast town of Poole in the county of Dorset, UK.

We organise several CLUB RUNS, the main ones being on Tuesdays: Sandacres Pub (Sandbanks) 7pm for 7.10pm start and Thursdays: Lytchett Minster School Sports Hall 7pm for 7.15pm start. We have a variety of routes available - some short, some long, some flat, some hilly - to cater for the varying needs of our members. In the winter months weekend training runs are often organised for those runners wishing to compete in the London Marathon. Please click HERE for IMPORTANT information about these runs.

We organise our own 10 mile race - The Lytchett '10' - which usually takes place in late Winter or early Spring and we are always well represented in all the other local races such as the Bournemouth Half Marathon, Poole 10K etc. The 2010 race results are now online as a PDF file.

We strive to be a very social club - we organise club family walks and cycle rides, pub games evenings, harbour cruises and an annual Dinner and Dance.

If you live in this part of England or will be visiting the area, we will be very pleased to let you join us on one (or more!) of our training runs. Note that entry into the Lytchett Minster School Sports Hall is free for members of The Striders on Thursday evenings only and allows you access to their changing facilities and showers. A Membership Applicaton Form is available for download (Word format).

Note: It is vitally important that, if you are participating in races for Lytchett Manor Striders, you ensure that you are a currently paid-up Club member and have a valid EA license. Membership forms and payments can be sent to the address at the bottom of the Club's Membership Application Form.
